A weak finale can go the way of FINSBURY, who having run well in a couple of recent low-grade races, can build on those efforts in this company; Dean Iarracht and Mohawk Ridge are a couple of others worth bearing in mind. The last named represents a yard in great form and, having proved he is versatile regarding the ground; the top weight has to merit consideration. His style of racing does mean he needs luck in running, though. Dean Iarracht has experience of this course and, as his latest start has already produced a winner, the portents look good for this consistent individual. Consistent in the fact that he has made the frame in eight of his 20 previous starts, so he wouldn't presently be one to rely upon heavily for win only purposes. Therefore, it can pay to look to Finsbury as one more likely to raise the barrier when push comes to shove. The gelding split a couple of higher-rated opponents last time out and, as a repeat does would be good enough in this company, Finsbury is worth a shot in the last.
