HANSOMIS edges the vote ahead of Commander Wish and Miss Daawe; while each-way punters could do worse than consider a small investment in Tongalooma sneaking into a share of the money. The last named has a solitary maiden success to her name but seemed to cope well enough on turf in two starts this season. However, this is a tougher assignment and she needs to pull out all the stops if she is going to rise above the challenge. Miss Daawe hasn't won for over two years but the handicapper has been slow to react where she is concerned. She will, however, be suited by the conditions and merits a place on the shortlist in this modest company. Commander Wish has a similar profile and would never be one in whom to place maximum faith. Still, this is little better than a seller and he could feasible raise his game today. Nevertheless, Hansomis is definitely a horse for the course at Carlisle and, given that his last three outings will have primed him for his return to his favourite track, the mount of Freddie Tylicki appeals as the best suitor for a punt on these terms.
