Another big prize for the track and a competitive race to boot, and we take Sir Arthur to be too good for Pocketwood, Oddsmaker and Lady Songbird. The selection handles cut well and was not far away when a beaten favourite at Beverley last time. The return to 1m 4f will suit, he is below his last winning mark and has Kevin Darley booked so there is plenty in his favour and he can take the prize. Pocketwood will be no back number. Jean-Rene Auvray's charge won over this trip at Folkestone last time and does handle juice in the ground. He is still on a fair mark and he can go close along with Lady Songbird. She was also a good to soft winner last time out when tackling this trip at Newbury. She is Walter Swinburn's first runner at the track as a trainer and who could confidently say that he won't make an immediate hit. Oddsmaker will relish every yard of this but there are doubts over the ground with him and Cotton Eyed Joe, who was a 1m 6f winner here last time out may be a bigger danger. But Sir Arthur has plenty going for him and can take the Cumberland Plate.
