In depth

Verdict

A tightly-knit affair but the three-year-olds look to hold the upper hand with Bally Hall fancied ahead of Morvern and Highclere Memory. The selection is eight-pounds higher than for his Nottingham win in April but has scope for further progression and will like the going. Morvern put in a best-yet performance when third at Redcar last time and suggested better was to come, while John Dunlop's Highclere Memory could well improve for a step up in trip. Of the older brigade, Other Routes, a dual Bath winner, has more on his plate now, course and distance winner Sienna Sunset lacks a recent run, and Figura's last three wins have come at Lingfield on the all-weather, but on turf form, more will be required.
