A poor contest this, with the runners racing at this level for a reason, but FELL PACK may not find there's too much to beat, and is taken to get the better of Bollin Judith and Step Fast. We wouldn't take too short a price about John Quinn's gelding who returned to the flat here last month when far from disgraced over a shorter trip last month. A couple of hurdles outings prior to that saw him pulled up on both occasions, but although top weight here, this looks to be a contest well within his sights. For a five year old he's pretty unexposed, and looks to have improvement within him. Bollin Judith was fourth in a better race than this last time out here, but she looks an ordinary sort. Yet to be placed, she's lightly raced too. Step Fast steps up in trip and down in class following three runs in the autumn. She would need to show some improvement, but as with many at this time of year, we don't know how she's trained on over the winter. It would be the absolute bare minimum stakes, with Fell Pack getting the verdict.
