This looks wide open, and it wouldn't be a surprise whichever of the nine comes home first, but we think that bottom weight SOCIETY VENUE can land it, and heads our shortlist in front of Vicious Warrior and Fujin Dancer. Jedd O'Keefe's gelding was third last month in his first outing since July, and remains a maiden after ten races. However, entitled to come on for that pipe-opener, gaining weight all round could be a big help here, especially given the stiff uphill finish. Vicious Warrior is one of a number here having a first runout of the year, and if stripping fit should be involved. Fujin Dancer returns to the flat following a modicum of success over hurdles over the winter. Snowed Under won this race last year, and indeed is the only course and distance winner in the field, and returns to the flat following an unsuccessful crack at hurdling. Will He Wish and Benedict Spirit are both long overdue a victory, both having a string of runners up spots of late. It's a trappy little affair, with none in any great form, but our marginal preference is for Society Venue.
