A competitive opener in which we give to vote to HOBSON to defy his six pound penalty with both Annes Rocket and Imperium worth noting. The selection won well at Yarmouth last week and connections are keen to get another run into him before the handicapper gets a chance to reassess his rating. Therefore he comes into the race a potentially well treated horse and for that reason he is difficult to oppose. Annes Rocket runs off the same mark as he did when catching the eye at Brighton last time out. He was only beaten a head into second place that day and if recapturing that form he ought to go close once again. Imperium has been running well in defeat of late but the handicapper looks to have him where he wants him at present. He always tries his best so can never be dismissed, therefore he should be monitored in the market for any support. However for the winner we return to Hobson.
