Leopards Leap has been showing promise in bumpers and may do better now tackling hurdles. Blue Empyrean won a bumper at Down Royal last month but a few of the others owe their form figures to runs on the point-to-point circuit. BEL SAS (NAP) won a Downpatrick bumper in March, however, and has performed with credit under penalties subsequently at Limerick and Listowel. He may be the type to run up a sequence over hurdles before bigger guns are unleashed in the autumn.
