A tricky apprentice handicap to end proceedings that may go to Calusa Lady, with Tappit and Majik the likely dangers. Toby Balding's filly is still a maiden but has shown on numerous occasions that she is capable of winning a race of this nature. Her most recent effort was in a very strong looking seller won by Armentieres, and repeat of that effort could be good enough here. Tappit comes here in good form having landed a banded race at Yarmouth on Saturday, this event is no stronger so a quick follow up is not out of the question. Majik has done well in better contests than this and has to be considered despite top-weight. If Coranglais, runner up at Musselburgh on Sunday, takes his chance he will be a big threat to all, but Calusa Lady can give the soon to retire Balding a welcome winner.
