Verdict

Vince Smith has a great chance of landing this event as he runs two decent types in Sharadi and Explosive, and we will side with the first named, Strangely Brown is also set to run well. The selection, who is ridden by Dazzler Holland, doesn't know how to run a bad race and gained a deserved victory over the two mile trip at Musselburgh last month. He was well beaten behind the progressive Quarrymount at Newmarket last time but that was over a shorter distance, today's 17 furlongs could see him return to winning ways. Stable-mate Explosive Fox looked in need of his British debut at Lingfield last time, but had some decent form Ireland earlier in the year and could go well at a decent price. Strangely Brown has a bit to find with Sharadi on Newmarket running, but as with the selection, he will be seen to much better effect over this longer trip. The improving Niobe's Way could prove best of the remainder, but for the winner it has to be Sharadi.
