Not the strongest handicap in the world and our short list comprises of Abounding, Potentiale, Down The Brick and Blockley and we take Potentiale to score. The selection could find no extra up the Westwood hill at Beverley over this trip last time, but that was his first try over this trip and he is worth another chance. A 10f winner at that same track previously, the form of that recent run has not worked out badly and off the same mark here he can take advantage. Abounding will have his supporters after a polytrack success over the trip at Wolverhampton. However, a 9lb rise for that looks pretty steep and he will do well to follow up. Down The Brick has plummeted through the weights, dropping from 75 to 60 and on the face of it he must have some sort of chance. However, Rod Millman's charge has not been showing us enough during that period to warrant the nod here. Of the others, Blockley improved for the step up to 10f last time and could be even better over further, so watch the market for clues, but without that knowledge we will stick with Potentiale.
