With the rain coming down, a chance is taken with Dundry over the well-fancied Samurai Way, with Great View also worth a mention. The first thing to say is that Luca Cumani has a tremendous record in this race, having won it for the past three years, and Samurai Way has leading claims on form, having had a winning prep at Thirsk last month. However, he has failed to last home on soft ground before, and if conditions do deteriorate, it may be worth looking elsewhere. With that in mind we shall put forward Dundry as the answer. Gary Moore's charge gained his only previous Turf success on the Knavesmire on soft ground, and he has been in fair form of late. He also stays further than today's trip, and stamina will be a plus factor here. Great View is another to consider, as he scored on heavy ground at Newbury last time under Lorraine Ellison, so goes well for a lady, and with Katie Walsh on board, he should get every assistance from the saddle. Lorraine meanwhile switches to her father's Tilt, who never got going in a hot handicap at Epsom last time. Basically, while respecting the claims of Samurai Way, Dundry appeals more at likely bigger odds, with the capable Hayley Moore in the plate.
