A competitive handicap gets proceedings underway and there is very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Sahara Silk, Pappas Ruby and Lady Aspen and the narrow vote is given to Sahara Silk. The selection won well last time out when beating Princess Cleo and although having a penalty for that win she looks sure to have the race run to suit and from a good draw she should go well. Pappas Ruby rates the main danger on her latest fifth behind Dakota Rain, especialy if the fitting of a first-time visor brings about more improvement and she should be watched in the market. Lady Aspen is another that could go well on her latest second behind Dante's Diamond but she will do well to give weight to some well-handicaped rivals. Piddies Pride has dropped to a handy mark but will need to improve for blinkers if she is to get involved. Black Oval is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he is hard to win with and in a contest where few can be ruled out for the winner we return to Sahara Silk.
