In depth

Verdict

Carribs Leap, Cool Cascade and Off Gallivanting make the shortlist here with Carribs Leap taken to complete the hat-trick and defy a penalty. Off Gallivanting ran well on debut to be a sound second at Southwell. That was an encouraging effort, and though the form may only be ordinary, normal progression should see him play a part in the finish here. Cool Cascade represents Venetia Williams and this son of Alderbrook can give a good account on his first appearance, though the market should be heeded. Carribs Leap justified favouritism in terrific fashion at Ludlow on his debut under rules, and he looks an exciting recruit to this sphere. Carribs Leap is potentially exciting and can score again.
