In depth

Verdict

The Panama Kid is taken to atone for a last fence blunder last time, and get the better of Edgbriar and Or Bleu. The last named has been sliding down the weights and ran well to be a good second recently. He looks sure to be thereabouts again. Edgbriar won at Doncaster in December and has run solid races in defeat since, not beaten far in classy contests. The Panama Kid is yet to score over fences, but he looked the likely winner until blundering away his chance at Doncaster at the final fence a few weeks ago. He has been running consistently without success and The Panama Kid can land his first success over the bigger obstacles here.
