In depth

Verdict

Lubinas has been the model of consistency of late but has paid for that at the hands of the handicapper and Frank Jordan's gelding may be booked for a place at best so preference is for Malko de Beaumont, who gets the vote ahead of Itsuptoharry. The last mentioned has to be respected coming from the yard of Ginger McCain that does well with their runners here; however, he would need to improve on recent evidence to trouble the judge. Sargasso Sea has claims on the form shown at Leicester in March but disappointed when last seen later that month so he is probably best watched. Idiome is hard to recommend on his form of late and preference is for Kim Bailey's Malko de Beaumont, who is less exposed than most of these and will not mind the underfoot conditions.
