This should not take a great deal of winning and Von Origny is taken to open his hurdling account at the main expense of Charlie Chapel and Random Native. The selection won his only start in a bumper and has lost no caste in defeat in two starts over hurdles behind Rebel Rhythm and Valley Ride, latterly under soft ground. A reproduction of either of those efforts should suffice for Henry Daly's four-year-old, who is hard to oppose. Tim Fitzgerald's Carlisle bumper winner Random Native ran with promise until falling two out in Dancing Rock's race at Doncaster last month on his hurdling debut. That was his first start for nearly two years so there should be more to come from the seven-year-old. He rates a bigger threat than the Venetia Williams-trained Bewleys Guest, who has been pulled up in his last two starts. Peter Beaumont's Fencote has shown ability in limited opportunities but has been off the track for some time and of more interest may be Mark Brisbourne's Charlie Chapel, who showed improved form at Huntingdon last time. Von Origny has an obvious chance though and is the choice.
