ELECTRIC CITY's run at Newmarket makes her the form pick although her ability to handle this ground has to be taken on trust. If she fails to cope with it then perhaps Happy Dubai or Fantastic Strike could be the ones to pick up the pieces. Mick Quinlan's filly didn't show a great deal on debut at Lingfield but she flashed home at Newmarket to take third behind subsequent Gimcrack runner-up Taajub. The runner-up gave the form a further boost, as if any was needed, when lowering the colours of Rakaan and she could prove too good for these if that form is taken at face value. She also has to prove as effective on soft ground which should prove no problem for Happy Dubai who got worked up on debut and ran green but still came home in an encouraging second. Building on the promise of a debut run isn't a given though as supporters of Fantastic Strike found at Carlisle; his yard has a decent record with their juveniles at this track and he's worth another chance. Hold On Tiger, Hot Spark, Fourlanends and Pavement Games are others that rate a mention but it will be disappointing if Electric City can't go on from that run at Newmarket.
