Bijou Dan represents good value to halt the winning run of Shifty, while Master Joseph and Parisian Playboy are others that can play leading roles at this level. Queen's Echo would have come in for a bigger build up had she not got the burden of top weight to contend with on ground that she has yet to really convince suits her. Parisian Playboy shaped as if he was running back into form at Redcar earlier in the month and will be dangerous to ignore in the betting. His yard have been amongst the winners this week and he is one to carefully monitor in the betting. Master Joseph bounced back to form at Newcastle a week ago and is entitled to respect in this company. However, he has never been the most consistent performer and he does not strike as one to be going overboard about in his follow up bid. Shifty has been a revelation of late and seems to just keep doing enough. He escapes a penalty for his amateur riders success earlier in the week and should again make a bold bid. However, he has been held off this mark in 'proper' handicaps in the past and looks vulnerable today. Especially if the market overreacts to his recent profile. Still it can all help to build the price on Bijou Dan, who is in good form and rates as solid each-way value in a very tricky finale.
