In depth

Verdict

Several bits of form point towards Peters Delite, who edges preference over Hits Only Cash and Jumeirah Scarer. Tactics will also play a part in the race and it would not be surprising to see Hits Only Cash run a big race and he too has to be considered. Tartan Special and Flaxby, who complete the line up, have a little to find on the official BHB ratings and are probably best avoided today. Hits Only Cash has stayed this trip well on the All Weather and has claims if he translates that form to turf. Nevertheless, he does come here with a little to prove and needs everything to drop just right. Jumeirah Scarcer was consistent last season and paid his way with three placed efforts. He was entitle to need the run on his reappearance and, as he has some hefty travelling expenses to pay for his journey up from West Ilsley, a bold bid cannot be ruled out here. However, slender preference is given to Peters Delite, who will be ideally suited to the conditions today. The son of Makbul has hit the post on a couple of occasions already this term, but appears to have been found a good opportunity to put the record straight today.
