In depth

Verdict

A tricky race to fathom. However, there was a fair bit of encouragement to be taken from Hits Only Jude's effort at Hamilton 13 days ago and he is fancied to confirm his superiority over Linas Selection, who is open to improvement but may already need a longer trip. Glasshoughton also made a satisfactory start to his racing career when he finished fourth at Redcar on similar ground. He too cannot be ruled out today. Especially as Michael Dodds has his string in such good order at present and a solid market move will be very dangerous to ignore. The two newcomers, Surely Truly and Amadeus Wolf, also represent yards that have there teams in good order and both are also worth noting for next time. However, Hits Only Jude holds the edge in terms of experience and, with the form of his run at Bath now working out well, Paul Blockley's charge looks the one to side with here.
