It can pay to adhere to the old adage of following the mare in form and side with HANSOMIS here, while Glasshoughton and Maison Dieu are respected. The selection hit form at Redcar last month and has since won back-to-back handicaps over this trip at Carlisle. Fast ground suits and an extra 6lbs will make it tougher, but with nothing else in such fine fettle we will side with her. Glasshoughton is now well below his last winning mark and has plenty of solid form at this track and over this trip. If Michael Dods can get him back to some sort of form he will win more handicaps but he may have to wait for other days. Maison Dieu won over course and distance from a 4lb lower mark last summer and he looks very likely to take a hand here but the handicapper has exposed his limits and the frame looks his most likely return. Mr Lu will want a strong pace to bring his stamina into play and he didn't run badly over the trip at Hamilton last time, but with little else making appeal we will take Hansomis to score.
