In depth

Verdict

This is a trappy looking contest, and Jim Goldie may fancy his chances of landing the spoils as he saddles Darfour and Chinwag, but we'll side with MYSTICAL AYR. Linda Perrett's mare loves it round here, with her three career wins coming at the track, albeit the most recent of those was nearly two years ago. She's got a decent draw, plenty in hand at the weights with top-rated Cigalas, and in-form pilot aboard. Darfour looks the pick of Jim Goldie's two runners; second to a Richard Fahey shortie last time out following a lay-off, he never looked like winning. Chinwag hasn't run since the autumn, and may need the outing, but can claim to be a course and distance winner, along with Wednesdays Boy and our selection, Mystical Ayr.
