Talon was good value for his Musselburgh success when last seen in August and has to be respected on that evidence but that was on good ground and Alan Swinbank's gelding may not be as effective on the more testing ground here so the vote goes to stable companion DEVINIUS over Natural Rhythm. The last mentioned has run well on a soft surface in each of his last three starts and the three-year-old should again be thereabouts but he may be a shade high in the weights. Grit would probably prefer faster ground, while Tamasou should not be inconvenienced by the underfoot conditions but could probably do with some help from the handicapper. Jim Goldie's Willyn has a lot to find with Talon on running at Musselburgh and preference is for Devinius. Alan Swinbank's filly is a confirmed soft ground performer, comes into this in reasonable form and she gets the vote to resume winning ways.
