Verdict
Capable Guest showed that he handles cut in the ground when chasing home Siberian Tiger at Goodwood recently but he is probably better on faster ground and with Blue Spinnaker at his best over a mile rather than 1m2f a chance is taken with ALLIED POWERS. Michael Bell's colt is the least exposed of these after 10 career starts, handles plenty of cut in the ground and the three-year-old remains feasibly well treated. The other member of the classic generation in the field, Bigfanofthat, has yet to confirm that he handles ground this testing and of more interest may be Wigwam Willie, who is gradually slipping back to a fair mark. Charlie Tipple has won on heavy ground but is probably better on faster ground than will be on offer here, while Best Prospect is badly out of form at present and is hard to recommend. Ella Woodcock ran better last time but is another that would prefer the ground not to be as testing as it is and a safer bet looks to be Allied Powers.
