In depth

Verdict

Sir Mark Prescott relies upon Moi Assui from six five-day entries and she has to be respected but looked nothing out of the ordinary on her Wolverhampton debut and is not certain to handle the ground so a safer bet looks to be Nihal, who is preferred to Yasoodd. The last mentioned gave little sign of encouragement on his debut over five furlongs at Leicester and should do better over today's longer trip. He rates a bigger threat than Roger Fisher's Bacharach, who was well held on his Hamilton debut. Silent Times, a son of Danehill Dancer, comes from a stable that has done well with their juveniles this term and has to be respected, particularly if the market speaks in his favour. He looks to be the most interesting of the newcomers but preference is for Mark Johnston's Nihal, who caught the eye staying on in the latter stages at Pontefract first time out and, given that the stable's horses normally improve for their first run, she should take plenty of beating.
