Gillipops has plenty of experience to call on and gets the vote over Al Shamara, with Ruffie and Crocodile Star others to note. Richard Hannon has a strong team of juveniles as usual, and the fact that Gillipops has shaped well on three starts to date augurs well for her chance here. The daughter of Xaar improved again when stepped up to six furlongs at Newbury last time, going down by a neck to Suesam with her more fancied stablemate Rubber behind in third. The further move up to seven furlongs should make here hard to beat in this company and she is a confident choice. Al Shamara appears to be the main danger on recent evidence, and she will certainly stay much further than today's trip on breeding. Of the rest, the selections stable companion Ruffie is held on Newbury form but ran green that day and should improve, while Crocodile Star looked nothing special on his Salisbury introduction but comes from a stable that knows the time of day with its juveniles, and he will surely be placed to good effect in due course. On this occasion though, it is Gillipops who is the one to be on.
