Salisbury maiden winner Underscore has to be respected first time in a handicap but John Gosden's colt is far from certain to stay this trip and preference is for Paparaazi, who gets the vote over Jazz Scene. The last mentioned lost no caste in defeat at York last time behind a back-to-form Wing Commander and has claims on that evidence but is not the most consistent of performers. Go Solo has been performing with some consistency of late and Alan Swinbank's gelding is entitled to be thereabouts again, while Ryan's Future could probably do with some more help from the handicapper. The three-year-old Boo has been creeping up the weights despite not winning, while Intricate Web has been held off today's mark in his last two starts and is another that could do with being dropped a couple of pounds. A market move for Double Vodka would be of interest but preference is for Richard Fahey's Paparaazi, who may not have handled the soft surface at Sandown last time and is worth another chance on the evidence of previous form at Redcar.
