Rio Riva has a progressive profile and having been given a two-month break is taken to resume winning ways at the main expense of Les Arcs and Lord of The East. The last mentioned opened his account for new connections at Doncaster last week but is likely to find this tougher off his new mark. Prince Tum Tum, who has been running in claimers and beat Thursday's scorer Sawwaah last time, has slipped to an attractive mark for his return to a handicap. Sandown winner Will He Wish seems to be plenty high enough in the weights at present and of more interest may be Onlytime Will Tell, who finished behind Prince Tum Tum last time, but is better than he showed that day and has a decent draw. Chester winner Roman Maze has claims despite the burden of top weight, while Doric could have done with a better draw. The ground has come right for the Mark Tompkins-trained Marshman but he has a dreadful draw and a bigger threat is likely to come from Les Arcs, particularly if the market speaks in his favour. Rio Riva was unfortunate to come up against the well-handicapped Tax Free and Postgraduate earlier on this season and showed how well treated he is himself when winning on unsuitably fast ground at Beverley when last seen in July. Only 3lbs higher now, Julie Camacho's colt looks the one to be on.
