        Verdict

        Golden Boot got up close home to land a touch at Chester last time and should not be inconvenienced by the drop back in trip today but Mt Desert is open to plenty of improvement and is preferred with Lets Roll rated the best of the remainder. The selection looked a colt to keep on the right side of when landing a Haydock handicap in April but was not seen again until returning to the same venue earlier this month when lack of peak fitness ultimately told in a race won by Karlu. John Gosden's son of Rainbow Quest should strip fitter for that run and off a 1lb lower mark looks worth a punt. Ian Semple had a fine day yesterday so Millagros has to be respected along with Duroob, although Karl Burke's team could be in better form. Western House could be of interest first time in a handicap, while Bollin Thomas looks plenty high enough in the weights now and a better bet may be Lets Roll, who is only 1lb higher than when scoring over course and distance in June. Mt Desert is unexposed though and is taken to resume winning ways.
