Sabbeeh has leading claims and is taken to win the last ahead of Divine Gift and Jazz Scene. They look the trio to concentrate on and at the weights, Sabbeeh must surely be the one. Sent off as favourite for last year's Coventry Stakes, the son of Red Ransom picked up a conditions event at Doncaster before finishing a disappointing sixth to Peak To Creek in the Horris Hill at Newbury. Connections were at a loss to explain his poor performance that day although Philip Robinson cited the ground as tacky. Anyway that did not stop Godolphin acquiring him and putting him away until this September when he turned out in the Dubai Duty Free Cup at Newbury. Down the field there, he should come on a a lot for the run, and will have the soft ground to help today. Rated eight pounds higher that Divine Gift, he meets that rival on much better terms, and should have the edge, although Michael Jarvis would obviously like to put one over on his former inmate. Jazz Scene ran in snatches at Newmarket last time and looks a tricky ride, which is the last thing you want against two useful rivals, and in any case he would have it to do at the weights as well. Sabbeeh has been hiding his ability, but it is still there, and he gets a perfect chance to show that today.
