In depth

Verdict

Trojan Flight has been well supported on plenty of occasions and is taken to land the spoils ahead of Sessay, Fyodor and Sir Loin. Trojan Flight always does things the hard way, coming late on the scene with his effort, and those tactics have paid off twice this term, at Beverley and Redcar. The first win was gained on soft ground, so there will be no problems on that score, and he is sure to be coming fast and late again here. Just touched off on fast ground at Pontefract last time, he is still fairly weighted and is the pick. Sessay opened his account when dead-heating in a Catterick maiden six days ago but has a penalty to overcome, while Fyodor showed that he is returning to form when fourth at Redcar recently, and can prove troublesome to the selection. Sir Loin has yet to win a race of any description but the application of a visor helped him to once again fill the frame at Goodwood. The ground might just be a bit too soft for him here though, and with Westborough having it to do with a six-pound penalty, the race is there for the taking if Trojan Flight does not leave it too late.
