A wide-open handicap may go to the topweight Artistic Style, with Trouble Mountain, Millagros and Reem One all leading players as well. Plenty in with chances here, but it is hard to knock the exploits of Artistic Style, winner of four of his last six starts. Brian Ellison's charge progressed from winning a seller at Musselburgh in July to gaining a fluent success in handicap company here the time before last. He nearly defied a six-pound penalty at Haydock when just failing to hang on after leading a furlong out, and the drop back to a mile and a quarter should help his cause. He goes on the ground and can see off the challenge of Trouble Mountain who can normally be relied upon to be in the shake-up. He has come up against the improving Straw Bear on his last two starts and has come out with credit on each occasion. Millagros will be suited by today's stamina test, and Reem One could be anything judged on her Hamilton debut win. Last year's winner Rotuma lines up over a stone higher in the ratings and so is hard to fancy, but Charnock Bates One, eight-pounds better off with Double Vodka for a head beating at Doncaster in May, is not one to dismiss lightly. A competitive affair can go to Artistic Style.
