Moheebb can defy topweight at the expense of Grand Diamond, Chookie Hamilton and Grethel. The final race on the card presents a good opportunity to Moheebb to shrug off the burden of a 6lb penalty judged on his latest success at Beverley nine-days ago. Although he now lines up off his highest mark, this will be only his 12th career start, and so David Chapman's gelding can find the necessary improvement. Grand Diamond opened his account on fast ground at Musselburgh in August but flopped on a return there next time, and is unproven on today's softer ground, so cannot be relied upon. Chookie Hamilton has saved his best efforts for the all-weather, but may be lit up by first-time blinkers, while Grethel coped well with soft ground when tried over further at Haydock six-days ago, and is interesting dropped back to a more suitable trip. They appear to be the main contenders, with preference for Moheebb.
