Plenty of familiar faces in the field but it's hard to get away from Cover Up, who is attempting to land the longest Flat race on the calendar for the second year in succession. Very lightly raced this season, his sole run came when a very good sixth in the Chester Cup. That form gives him big claims. Paul Cole is represented by Swing Wing. A stablemate of last year's runner-up, Archduke Ferdinand, the In The Wings gelding has never raced beyond two miles but he has been placed in Group company, form that entitles to plenty of respect. There are many familiar faces from the world of jumping racing, including the Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup winner - and recent winner of a charity Flat race at Newbury - Looks Like Trouble, Jessica Harrington's useful chaser Moscow Express, and Philip Hobbs' Double Honour, formerly useful at up to two miles on the Flat for Mark Johnston. Others to consider are Tamiami Trail, lightly raced and stepping up in trip, John Dunlop's Taffrail, and David Elsworth's First Ballot, but Cover Up is taken to secure back-to-back successes in the two-and-three-quarter-mile contest that closes the meeting.
