Verdict
Despite his five-pound Group 1 penalty, Bollin Eric can get back to winning ways, with Highest possibly the strongest among a number of rivals. Tim Easterby's 2002 St Leger winner, has looked in great form this year and maybe kicked for home a little too early in last month's Yorkshire Cup. He showed a good turn of foot there so the drop in trip should not pose a problem. Highest, now visored for the first time. finished second to Warrsan in the Coronation Cup and holds a clear chance on that form. Balakheri's action suggests that the forecast fast going will be against him. However, he beat the selection in last year's King Edward VII Stakes over today's course and distance and is now seven pounds better off. Bandari, fourth in the Coronation Cup under similar terms to today (Zindabad was fifth), has a tendency to boil over on the big occasions but, if keeping it together, cannot be ruled out. Of the others, Indian Creek often nicks some prize money on the big days and Parasol has maintained his form very well this season but meets Indian Creek on three-pounds worse terms for the length-and-a-half he beat Indian Creek at Sandown last time. Rawyaan looks held by Parasol on April Kempton form.
