Verdict
Baffled gave every indication at Royal Ascot that she would be suited by the step up to seven furlongs when a highly creditable third in the Albany Stakes and is taken to confirm that belief, getting the vote ahead of Dixey and Yem Kinn. The last mentioned created a favourable impression when making a winning debut here before ultimately disappointing in the Coventry. Better than he showed that day, Mick Channon's colt has to be respected. Elna Bright is improving with each start but this represents a big step up in class, while Peter Chapple-Hyam's colt Speedy Dollar is bred to be useful but will need to be so if he is to trouble the judge. Dixey surprised many when belying odds of 20/1 on his Kempton debut and could be of interest but Baffled has solid claims and she gets the vote.
