It will be interesting to see how Mark Johnston's Quizzene performs on his first attempt at two miles, while stablemate McEldowney cannot be discounted having run up to his best over even further at Goodwood last time but the one that they all have to beat is Dorothy's Friend, who gets the vote. The selection strictly has a bit to find with McEldowney on Goodwood running but Roger Charlton's gelding was entitled to need the run that day having been lightly raced since winning this race two years ago and there may well be more to come back at his favourite venue. Michael Bell's Swordsman is less exposed than most of his rivals but it is hard to evaluate the merits of his British debut outing at Goodwood last week and of more interest may be Len Lungo's Rehearsal, who could improve for tackling this trip for the first time. Tarandot is another worthy of a mention but Dorothy's Friend has a good record here and is taken to improve further on it.
