    Verdict

Chic looks to have been found a decent opportunity to earn some black type and gets the verdict over Abundant and Duty Paid. The last mentioned has been found wanting in similar company this term and looks likely to play a minor role again and a bigger threat may come from James Fanshawe's lightly raced Abundant, although a softer surface may suit the daughter of Zafonic. Dame De Noche showed improved form when third behind Master Robbie in the Tote Exacta Handicap here last time and is worthy of consideration along with Richard Hannon's Zither, who is closely matched with the selection on a line through Tantina. However, she may be flattered by that and we prefer to side with Chic.
