A wide open maiden gets proceedings underway and as usual in these type of events the market will be all important, but the principals look to be Double Precedent, Angeletta and World's Heroine, and the tentative vote is given to Double Precedent. The selection hails from the Mark Johnston yard that can do no wrong with their two-year-olds at present, and this well-bred Polish Precedent filly, a half-sister to two winners on the Flat is taken to make a winning debut. Angeletta rates the main danger on her latest second behind Pretty Majestic and with this longer trip likely to be in her favour she should be noted in the market. World's Heroine was a staying on fourth behind the selection's stablemate Codeword last time, and is another that will appreciate this longer trip but her yard is woefully out of form and she is passed over for that reason. Golden Dagger is a Daggers Drawn filly, half-sister to 1m2f and 1m4f winner Richtee, and is another to note in the market, but the suspicion is she will be sen to better effect over a longer trip in time, and so we are happy to side with Double Precedent who is taken to continue her stable's good form.
