NEMO SPIRIT won tidily here last time and a 3lb rise in the weights may not be enough to stop him following up; the shortlist consists of Hawk Mountain, Zuwaar and Grand Art. The selection is highly-thought of by his trainer and this four-year-old Daylami colt seems to appreciate some cut in the ground. His form has been franked by Hawk Mountain winning since and although the runner-up re-opposes today, he is actually far better off at the weights this afternoon. Inchnadumph has plenty of ability but he was poor last time and was well-down the field here behind the selection in June, so of more interest may be the well-travelled Mudawin although he hasn't won since landing the Ebor here in 2006. Red Fama was hammered by the handicapper for a successful 2008, Grand Art seemed to get this trip ok at Beverley last time and he has won here before, whilst Zuwaar tries the visor for the first time following some solid efforts in defeat at Warwick and Chester. Kiribati King also tries the shades for the first time in the hope of eliciting some improvement; a repeat of his form from Autumn last year must see him go close off this mark on ground that suits. Herrera is no stable star and she is another who has plenty to find with Nemo Spirit on his win here in June and we will side with him to win again.
