Verdict

DAYIA's form is solid as a rock and she can lump her big weight to victory; Ocean's Minstrel and La Vecchia Scuola join Dazinski on the shortlist. Jeff Pearce's mare ran well in defeat at Kempton last time and her previous fifth to Junior at Royal Ascot is the strongest piece of form on offer. Any rain won't be a problem for this adaptable mare and a big run is expected. Crackentorp is consistent and has run some good races here but he is finding it hard to win off this sort of mark, the step back up in trip on soft ground should suit Liszt, whilst Ocean's Minstrel has a few lengths to find with Dayia on two earlier runs but a recent Ascot run suggested he is ready to win especially on ground like this. La Vecchia Scuola ran a blinder to finish sixth in the Northumberland plate and is 3lb lower today, Dazinski would probably prefer quicker ground, whilst Rangefinder is another whose form with Dayia stacks up well. At a price Hawk Mountain shouldn't be dismissed given his good form at the track, however the verdict goes to Dayia.
