The drop in grade should serve Lady Lam well but SECOND TO NUN is the one to beat here; Under Fire looks the pick of the rest in a weak start to the card. Mark Blanshard's filly has been running well of late and her consistent profile counts for plenty. Not only that, the four-year-old is now 5lbs below her sole winning mark and shaped last time as though this step up to 1m2f would suit. She gets the vote to beat Lady Lam, who was found out by a rise in grade at Newbury. Back in this company and just 3lbs higher than when last successful there's a strong case to be made, but the jury is still out with regard to her stamina. Under Fire disappointed when chasing a hat-trick at Brighton but he likes it at Lingfield and the claim of John Fahy will help Tony Carroll's gelding, who can't be ruled out in a poor contest. The last time Diamond Twister ran in this grade he placed here off 63, so a rating of 60 offers hope for supporters and he's not been running badly of late while Marrimeclaire is unexposed and should be suited by stepping up in trip so keep an eye on the market. Aah Haa needs to improve to beat Under Fire while Doric Echo tries a visor for the first time and could find something for doing so, but preference is for Second To Nun.
