Rolling Hills and LATHAAT are hard to separate in this maiden but we'll just side with John Dunlop's filly; Norman Orpen, Mackenzie Spiers and Sea Tobougie are interesting newcomers to note in the betting. There's no denying our pick has proved to be disappointing and she's also becoming exposed, but our hopes are pinned on this drop back in trip serving her well. Indeed, the filly's best effort came when third to the potentially decent Water Gipsy over this trip at Goodwood and with that in mind the undulations here aren't a concern. Rolling Hills has had seven starts without obliging but there appears little wrong with his attitude and the race he took second in at Folkestone has thrown up a winner. He's quite closely matched with Lathaat and they should dominate, unless one of the newcomers is above-average. Norman Orpen is related to winners and the yard have had a couple of their own lately while Rod Millman's Mackenzie Spiers would be interesting if supported as the dam's side of her pedigree offers some hope as to her ability to make a reasonable juvenile. Sea Tobougie should be at home over this trip in contrast to Equine Science who will do better over further while David Evans' Mushy Peas needs to leave his moderate debut run well behind to oblige. This is another weak maiden and two horses stand out, with Lathaat just preferred to Rolling Hills.
