In depth

Verdict

Though a short-priced beaten favourite in his first two starts, Emperor's Star came good at Chelmsford and that should have boosted his confidence. Only beaten a head over 6f here in the summer, Up The Jazz won over this trip at Carlisle two runs ago but both of Politico’s victories have come at Chester. The extra furlong should suit CLASSY BOY and Karl Burke’s colt can make a winning start in handicaps, though Bulmer Bank is another likely to improve on his first run in a nursery.
