Verdict
Aidan O'Brien has been giving winning opportunities to apprentices in recent weeks and two of his three entries are claimer ridden. Emperor Of Rome was long odds-on when making his debut at Dundalk in April but was beaten into second and the form hasn't worked out. This looks on the short side for Latin on what he's shown to date but Frankie Dettori is on board Battle Fleet for the yard and his mount was staying on over shorter at Navan. Star Hunter was very disappointing on soft ground at Roscommon but PIPSY made a very promising debut behind the odds-on King Cuan at Cork and can go one better. Il Pellegrino is related to five winners and, with his stable in outstanding form, is one to keep an eye on.
