It looked to be a very weak Princess Of Wales's Stakes that Soapy Danger won last month and Mark Johnston's colt may struggle to follow up under his penalty so preference is for Red Rocks, who is taken to reverse Royal Ascot form with Papal Bull. The last mentioned was a narrow winner of the King Edward, which was run on faster ground, and Red Rocks is now 3lbs better in and is more likely to be suited by the underfoot conditions so gets the vote to do just that. Championship Point looked good when winning the Predominate and may bounce back from a disappointing effort in the Derby when last seen on today's ground but he probably needs to improve. Fire And Rain could be anything after just one start but is impossible to back with confidence, while Stage Gift takes a big step up in class and may not be up to it. There should be no such problems for Red Rocks though who looks progressive and can gain a deserved success in this company.
