The 2018 winner Here And Now and last year’s winner Eddystone Rock were both well beaten in the same race at Ascot in June. But the former’s stablemate MAKE MY DAY (NAP) made a winning debut for the yard when scoring over 1m4f here on his reappearance and first start since being gelded. A winner over 1m6f last year, Ralph Beckett’s new charge has bags of scope and should make a bold bid. Monsieur Lambrays is upped in class and raised 8lb for last month’s course and distance success while Solo Saxophone failed to cope with 10lb rise at Ascot when bidding for a four-timer. Volcanic Sky scored easily over 2m at Kempton and also has a hike in the weights to contend with while True Destiny finished just behind Just Hubert over a longer trip at Goodwood last time when Rochester House was beaten only a neck. Rajinsky finished in front of several of these when narrowly beaten at Newbury and could go well at a price.
