A really intriguing contest to open the card, with plenty of previous winners coming together and our shortlist comprises Janina, Jennifers Joy, Presto Laventer and Shivering and the vote goes to Shivering. Admittedly Tommy Stack has not trained a winner on these shores for the past five seasons, but he has his runners in good heart oover in Ireland. Shivering's recent Tipperary success reads well in the context of this race and if the ground stays good then she has already proven form on the surface, so with more improvement to come she is just favoured. Janina looks the biggest danger on what we have seen so far. The Barry Hills-trained filly was also a decisive good ground scorer when going in at Haydock on debut, and there looked to be more to come so she will go close. Presto Laventer lost no caste in going down to the useful looking Cake last time and won't be long in winning, while Jennifer's Joy has a bit to find with Janina but did improve in winning last time and should once again be on the premises. Feeling Proud and Kylayne look best of the remainder but really it is a case of notebooks at the ready here and we just favour Shivering to score.
