There have been some shocks in this over the years with just one favourite in ten successful. Mark Johnston has four entered and Storm Cry, an impressive maiden winner at Ripon, may prove the best of them from this mark. Nautical Haven had beaten him on this track earlier though the runner-up has improved. Richard Fahey has a trio of entries with THE WAGON WHEEL, who attracted strong support on her debut at Beverley and overcame greenness to make a successful start, likely to prove better than a 73-rated handicapper in time. She's given the nod in a very competitive heat though Kamra has steadily improved and there was plenty to like about his Nottingham victory and Naafer, a winner here last month, got no sort of run in a similar event at Goodwood so that run is best ignored.
